Government of the Punjab, School Education Department issued a notification regarding establishment of Service Delivery Unit (SDU) and job description of Monitoring Cell and SDU.

In order to improve efficiency and service delivery of the department, a Service Delivery Unit (SDU) has been established. Accordingly, in supersession of earlier notifications following job descriptions of Monitoring Cell and Service Delivery Unit of School Education Department, are hereby notified with immediate effect:-

Monitoring Cell

  1. Real time monitoring of Schools in Punjab. 
  2. Action taken on monitoring observations. 
  3. Census of School Education Department through MEAs. 
  4. DMO's adjustment. 
  5. Recruitment & establishment matters of MEAs. 
  6. Matters regarding Children of Brick Kiln Workers. 
  7. Monitoring / evaluation and proper functioning of SIS & HRMIS.
  8. Anti-Dengue activities. 
  9. Census pertaining to SED employees in Punjab. 
  10. Coordination with all the concerned departments including Chief Minister's Office regarding celebrations on national days
Focal Person for:
  1. Information collection system and creation of GIS Data-Base Tracking Industries Population Water & Air, presence and conversion of Brick Kilns across Punjab. 
  2. Coordination for the Business of Council of Common Interests (CCI).
  3. To Present departmental progress report / stock-take.
  4. Clean and Green Pakistan Movement. 
  5. Implementation of decisions of meetings of National Climate Change Policy Implementation Committee (NCCPIC). 
  6. To liaison with o/o Commissioner for Monitoring and disposal of matters relating to Overseas Pakistanis. 
  7. Constitution of committees in Women Development Department. 
  8. Energy Conversion Officer. 
  9. Action frame work for prevention and control of Hepatitis in Punjab. 
  10. Human Resource System under Performance Management Reforms Unit (PMRU). 
  11. Action frame work for prevention and control of pandemic COVID-19 
Service Delivery Unit
  1. To dispose of the complaints received through Prime Minister Citizen Portal and keep proper record
  2. Updation and disposal of tasks assigned to School Education Department through Chief Secretary Tasks Management System. 
  3. To maintain record and report writing of Secretary School Education Department regarding visits/tours.
  4. Preparation / updation of Departmental Presentations to be presented before different forms. 
  5. Coordination with different offices about completion of tasks assigned by the Secretary. 
  6. To ensure internet connectivity.
  7. To coordinate about implementation of Citizen Feedback Model Project (CFMP)
  8. Management and updation of website of School Education Department.
  9. Improvement of Public Service Delivery through better coordination 
  10. For updation of Overseas Pakistanis Commission web portal regarding complaints of Overseas Pakistanis. 
  11. Resolution of public issues raised on social media.
  12. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) regarding School Education Department helpline. 
  13. Any other task assigned by the competent authority, from time to time.
The following Human Resource deputed in SDU will report to Secretary SED through Special Secretary (Reforms), Additional Secretary (ER) and Deputy Secretary (ER):
