School Education Department (SED) has initiated School Enrollment Drive 2021 in order to bring out-of-school children back to schools.The campaign will also contribute to improve attendance and retention of students as schools open after the second wave of COVID-19. As part of School Enrollment Drive, School Education Department is launching a mass media awareness campaign through print, electronic and digital media.
Mass media campaign will include an informative TV commercial to sensitize parents and community to send missed outs, dropped out never gone and out of school children to schools and to encourage them to continue their education This TV commercial will be aired on national TV channels till 16 February. To ensure optimum transmission of the message, SED intends to air it through local cable channels across Punjab.
TV Commercial will be shared with District Education Authorities by PMIU so that the Deputy Commissioners can ensure its transmission through local cable networks for which the divisional and district administrations shall hold a meeting with the local cable operators. For successful implementation of this initiative, the cooperation of local cable operators is required.
In this regard, Regional General Managers PEMRA are requested to be in liaison with the District Education Authorities to ensure all local cable operators air the TVC prepared by School Education Department.
