GRANT OF DISPARITY REDUCATION ALLOWANCE TO FEDERAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES

  T he Federal Government approved / granted Disparity Reduction Allowance @ 25% of the basic pay of Basic Pay Scales 2017 w.e.f. 1st March, 2021 to their civil employees.

SPECIAL REPAIR OF ROADS IN HAFIZABAD AND GUJRANWALA

  Chief Minister, Punjab, has constituted Ministerial Committee for a holistic review for reduction of disparities in pay of employees of Punjab Government and submit recommendations to the Provincial Cabinet to address the issue in a fiscally sustainable manner.

APPLICATIONS INVITED FROM TEACHERS FOR PAPER MARKING AND DATA ENTRY OF GRADE-5

  The Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) under Assessment Policy Framework-2019 is going to conduct Large Scale Assessment of Grade-5 from 3rd May - 2021 to 6th May-2021 in 4363 sampled schools across all districts in Punjab. 

NOTIFICATION REGARDING AMENDMENTS IN REVISED LEAVE RULES 1981

 In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 23 of the Punjab Civil Servants Act, 1974 (VIII of 1974), Governor of the Punjab approved the following amendments in the Revised Leave Rules, 1981 with immediate effect:-

CORONAVIRUS VACCINATION CENTERS IN VARIOUS DISTRICTS

  Government of the Punjab, Primary & Secondary Healthcare, established coronavirus vaccination centers in various district. Opening time of centers is 08:00AM and closing time is 08:00AM daily.

DIRECTIONS REGARDING CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) ALERT

 In the wake of impeding coronavirus alert, the Competent Authority has directed to convey the following instructions / directions to be observed in letter and spirit: 

NOTIFICATION REGARDING PERMISSION TO TAKE ALREADY SCHEDULED EXAMINATIONS TILL 19.03.2021

  All public & private schools in district i.e. Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Rawalpindi, Multan, Sargodha and Sialkot are only allowed to take already scheduled examinations (send ups & entry exams) till 19.03.2021 under strict SOPs and in smaller batches of students. The School Administration would be held responsible for any violation in this regard.

CLOSURE OF UNIVERSITY OF SARGODHA DUE TO INCREASED COVID CASES

 In the wake of increasing number of positive cases of COVID-19 in University and hostels the Competent Authority is pleased to approve the following recommendations of Committee constituted to monitor and implement the matters related to reopening of the University made in its emergent meeting held on 14-03-2021 to minimize further spread of COVID-19:

BAN ON CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES IN ALL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

  Government of the Punjab, School Education Department issued a notification regarding ban on co-curricular activities i.e. sports etc. in all educational institutions.

OBSERVANCE OF DRESS CODE BY OFFICERS OF GOVERMENT OF THE PUNJAB

Officers of the Government of the Punjab are required to adopt appropriate dress code during office hours and while appearing before the Courts of Law.

GUIDELINES FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF POLICY REGARDING REGULARIZATION OF WORK CHARGE, DAILY WAGER AND CONTINGENT PAID STAFF IN COMMUNICATION & WORKS DEPARTMENT

 Government of Punjab S&GA Department has issued a policy to regulate the services of Work-charged employees. In this regard following guidelines are issued for guidance of the respective appointing authorities.

ORDERS REGARDIN REGULARIZATION OF 106 CONTRACT EMPLOYEES OF PHE DEPARTMENT DECLARED AS INVALID

  Government of the Punjab, Housing Urban Development & Public Health Engineering Department issued an order regarding invalidation of regularization of 106 contract employees of PHE department.

REGULARIZATION OF THE SERVICES OF JUNIOR CLERKS APPOINTED IN S&GAD THROUGH DEPARTMENTAL RECRUITMENT COMMITTEE

 Law Department has already advised in the matter and has also recorded its views on a Note for Additional Chief Secretary.

  The School Education Department, Govt. of the Punjab has launched online system for E-Retirement to facilitate all honorable teachers.

NOTIFICATION REGARDING ABOLISHMENT OF TOWN COMMITTEES

 No.SOR(LG)1-33/2019: Whereas section 15 of the Punjab Local Government Act, 2019 has been amended vide the Punjab Local Government (Amendment) Ordinance, 2021 and consequently 149 Town Committees, having population less than fifty thousand (50,000), stand abolished;

JUDGEMENT REGARDING PAY PROTECTION BY PUNJAB SERVICE TRIBUNAL, LAHORE

  MUHAMMAD YAR WALLANA, MEMBER. Through this consolidated judgment I intend to dispose of above captioned thirty seven appeals because in all the appeals similar question of pay protection for the period the appellants remained serving on contract basis is involved and the question of law is also similar in all these appeals. Brief facts of the cases as gathered from the available record are that the appellants are aggrieved by order dated 03.04.2013 of the Chief Secretary, Punjab, whereby benefit of pay protection for the period the appellants remained serving on contract basis was regretted. Feeling aggrieved, the appellants filed writ petition No.21201/2013 before the Honorable Lahore High Court, Lahore, which was disposed of vide order dated 08.07.2014 with the direction to Chief Secretary Punjab to decide the matter after affording right of hearing to the appellants.
