RELAXATION IN LOCKDOWN TO FACILITATE GENERAL PUBLIC

 Government of Pakistan, National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) issued a notification regarding relaxation lockdown to facilitate general public.


        NCOC session chaired by Mr Asad Umer (Federal Minister for Planning, Development, Reforms and Special Initiatives) was held on 15th May, 2021 and was attended by Chief Secretaries provinces (via video link). Forum was apprised about NPls implementation in the country and need to facilitate general public through immediate relaxation in certain specific NPIs. Forum unanimously agreed on relaxation of following NPls to be implemented as per specified dates:

a. Resumption of all types of public transport with 50% occupancy (Inter city, Intra City and Inter Provincial Transport) with effect from 16th May, 2021
b. Market activities to resume with effect from 17th May, 2021; however, all markets and shops will close by 08:00 pm (less essential services). Indoor / outdoor dining will continue to remain closed less takeaways.
c. Resumption of normal working hours for public / private offices with effect from 17th May, 2021; however, 50% work from home policy will continue to be implemented.


        All concerned are requested to issue notifications at priority. Review of remaining enforced NPls will be carried out at NCOC on 19th May, 2021.
