NPIs FOR HIGH DISEASE (COVID-19) PREVALENCE DISTRICTS

National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) session chaired by Mr Asad Umer (Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives) was held on 14 September 2021. A detailed stock of the disease situation in the country, daily hospital admissions and critical care occupancy vis-à-vis requirement of oxygen was carried out.

Forum unanimously agreed for enforcement of stringent NPls in 6 high disease prevalence districts. Fresh list of high disease prevalence districts is as under: 
  • Punjab (05):- Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Sargodha and Gujrat
  • KP (01):- Bannu 

All types of education institutes countrywide will follow staggered opening (50% attendance, 3-days a week) from 16th September 2021 onwards. 

A close monitoring of disease prevalence / critical health care system is being carried out at NCOC on daily basis and necessary decisions will be taken whenever deemed appropriate to control the disease spread. 

NPls for high disease prevalence districts will remain enforced from 16 to 22 September 2021 and review will be carried out in NCOC on 21 September 2021. 

NPls for rest of the country will remain enforced from 16 to 30 September 2021 and review will be carried out in NCOC on 28 September 2021.
